I've seen it, but my not quite 4 year old DD has not. She asked because the girls at preschool were talking about it, so I Netflixed it and previewed it. No way. She'd be covering her eyes and telling me it's scary. She's definitely been excluded from play at her school because of not seeing it and I feel a bit bad.
At that age we watch movies in bits and pieces and fast forward through the "scary" bits. I don't know that my preschool aged DDs have ever seen a COMPLETE movie, but they have seen enough of many kids movies -- including Frozen -- to get the basic idea of many of the plots and characters. As a compromise for your DD, would she be able to handle the audiobook as a read aloud with you during the day? Many times books are much less intimidating and frightening than the corresponding scenes in movies. Or what about having her just listen to the songs on Youtube? You can tell her the basic plotline of the movie, and just fill in with the songs at appropriate points. That's the part most young girls seem to care about/talk about/sing constantly anyway.
