Not all parents can afford to homeschool. Not all parents are qualified to homeschool. I'm certainly not a teacher and I do believe that my kids teachers can do a better job (if they were actually allowed to do their job!). My kids have had some wonderful teachers. They really have done a great job within the constraints of the MCPS system. However, I think the MCPS system itself might not be the best choice for teaching kids who have such a wide range of abilities. At least my school is understaffed and overcrowded. It makes it tough for the teachers to do all that they should be able to do.[/quote]
