Several common disabilities like ADHD and Learning disabilities cannot really reliably be assessed via objective standardized testing until the 6-7 age range, and even that is early. [/quote] Depends what state. States vary on how old a child can be and still qualify under the DD code. Some states 5 is the cut off. OP, if the core disability is ADHD then OHI is appropriate. If the attentional issues impact academic skills, or language skills, or if there are concurrent language or learning issues than SLI (Speech Language Impaired) or SLD (Specific Learning Disability) should also be considered.[/quote]
