My best guess is that I didn't steam them long enough, and the masa had not absorbed enough liquid. I have never been so uncomfortable. Imagine the most bloated you've ever felt, and then imagine that sensation inexorably growing over the course of three hours, stomach expanding and expanding, along with steadily increasing heartburn. 1/10 would not recommend.
