it is a relative measure (i.e. comparing Y to its peers). The dream schools i mentioned are no where near as pre-professional as the second set below.

I've noticed OCI and networks for the jobs UG's fight over the most (consulting, finance, sv tech) isn't as strong at Y as it is at H,S,P, or W.

Now some of it is because the kids that go to Y are not as pre-professional and firms know this even though they would like to have Y grads.

The second set of schools on the other hand have the top firms in competitive sectors all fall over each other during recruiting out of UG.

Not saying the first set doesn't lead to good jobs (these grads do fine, but they have to go out of their way a bit more IMO) compared to the second set of schools where firms from across various industries all show up with their hats in hand every fall trying to recruit kids for internships and ft offers.
