Annandale has 2 distinct sides - the heavily asian side outside of the beltway (west), and the heavily hispanic side inside the beltway (east). Looks like your neighborhood is just barely inside the beltway, so I'm not sure what the mix will be like in your exact neighborhood. But the town is very much ethnic - mostly either korean or el salvadorean, depending which part. It's interesting. You will have no shortage of cool places to eat I'm sure.
I live in Annandale outside the beltway. Where outside the beltway is the heavily asian part? There are some asians and hispanics in my neighborhood, but it is still mostly white. At my kids' schools there are asian and hispanic kids, but the majority is still white. I think your comments are misleading and a little racist. Sounds like you are trying to stir up trouble.
Last time I was there (maybe 6 months ago) - I got off the beltway, and every store sign appeared Korean, and everybody in the streets too. And a few lights down, it switched to everybody being hispanic. Oh yes, this is just a fact. I'm sure there are some more diverse parts of Annandale, but come on, are you seriously going to try to deny it's not a heavily asian and hispanic area - and that all the hispanics are on the side inside the beltway? It's just true. OP, you will see when you move here.
Inside the beltway about 80% of the stores are korean, and most people walking around are hispanic. But thats because this is pedestrian hostile fairfax county, and the whites (and most asians) don't walk, period. Outside the beltway there are few stores at all, till you get to the Fair City mall area, where there are few asian stores, and few hispanics. So I think you got confused. Inside the beltway is probably about a third hispanic, about a third asian (not all Korean) a few blacks, and over one quarter white (a mix of aging folks and young couples.) Outside the beltway is, I'm not sure, probably 75% white and 25% asian or so? The korean business draw koreans from all over southern and central fairfax.
