Honestly, you should be grateful your wife didn't leave you years ago! You owe her a big apology and you need to tell your mom to back off. You also need to set boundaries and YOU need to tell your mother.

Your mother is ruining your marriage and you are letting her.

I love my MIL because she butts out. If she was like your mother, I would have divorced my DH a LONG time ago.
YOU are the one creating this problem because you refuse to stick up for your wife. You don't get any sympathy from me.

If you don't change NOW, your wife will leave you and you will be stuck with your mommy for the rest of your life. Don't think she won't sabotage the next relationship you are with. [/quote]
