I work FT and have a 2 yr old with ASD. He is currently in a private preschool that is open until 6:30, so aftercare is not an issue. As for therapy, my work is flexible so I can leave early and then make up the time later working from home. I feel very lucky.
Op HERE PLEASE Which school is open till 6.30pm that has an ASD program thanks
11:44 here. The preschool is for NT kids and does not have an ASD program. Because my DS is mild on the spectrum, so far he is not having any problems continuing in the school. The school allows both OT and Speech therapists to come in and work with him, so for now it is working for us.
OP...I just came across this website and thought I'd share it with you. I'm not sure where you're located, but they have an after-care program for SN children. http://www.brighterdaycare.com/home.html
