16 y/o Brother-major drama over the IV; I asked if the surgeon would try nitrous, then we could get the IV going.  3 minutes later, bro was fine, dentist began locals.  First 3 teeth were done easily and quickly.  4th, major issues but the surgeon and assistant talked my brother through it.  Stronger dude than I'd of been. 
14 y/o Sister-  She had a mess.  Not wisdom teeth procedure.  Only the third time she'd been to the dentist. (2nd time was only a brief consult)  We went into that with the certainty of IV sedation.  I believe she was given Fentanyl and Versed.  No problems. 
 
--None of them are particularly concerned over the procedure(s).  (Except husband, who also had IV sedation)  I would stress, though, if there is anxiety, do the IV meds.
