The Op has way too much time on their hands if this is what they are spending their time on.
As a Stoddert parent, I could not agree more. What a dumb and irrelevent question by OP. I'm thrilled with Stoddert, and happy to read so much good news about Hardy. How and why a bunch of anonymous know-nothings on DCUM rank Stoddert doesn't make a bit of difference for the education my kid gets there.
Wait. I said in my OP that Stoddert is a *fantastic* school. I am happy you and agree on that. I also say that the JKLM versus the rest taxonomy is arbitrary and bit absurd. But you can't deny that a nontrivial number of GP families move out to avoid Hardy. If Hardy becomes the next Deal -- which I hope and expect -- then a GP address will be as desirable as a upper NWDC address as far as schools are concerned. You wouldn't mind the associated increase in home values, would you? I simply used the arbitrary JKLM taxonomy to state that Hardy's improvement will propel Stoddert to the very top range in people's perception -- that's it.
