Seriously - depending on where this house is, look on VRBO.com the house could command anywhere from 2k-10k a week (OR MORE) depending on location, number of bedrooms, baths, etc.  Your are very lucky to have such nice friends.  Think out of the box.  Once again your friends are being super generous and this calls for more than simply cleaning their house or paying for a cleaning service or a bottle of wine.

How much would this vacation cost your family if you didn't have this "free house" to use?  Think of it that way and plan your gift appropriately.[/quote]
