Ignore the people here who want you to stay flabby and out of shape just like them (or they are naturally blessed and stay thin and in shape without any amount of effort, therefore have no opinion that matters). I have 10 vanity pounds to lose and I want them OFF by July one. I was sooo resistant to Paleo eating, but was at my wits ends trying to defy my metabolism with weight watcher and MFP and the such. I gave in and started Paleo on Monday and HOLY SHIT. I have already dropped 3lbs, same with my DH and mind you I'm not even "overweight" to begin with. In 4 short days the difference in my stomach is starling. I had no idea I was so bloated, until these last 4 days my stomach came down so much. Every morning I have stepped on the scale and had to do it twice to make sure it is not wrong. I count NO calories. I eat as much as I want within the foods that I'm allowing myself to eat. My DH is on the plan as well and his results are more dramatic than mine because he has more to lose. I do already exercise 6 days a week, so all I'm trying to accomplish is getting rid of the layer of fat sitting on my muscles. The best thing? I'm not starving myself and I'm eating really really healthy. I'm eating a mountain of veggies each day. I'm most definitely a convert. Oddly, I don't miss the sweets, it is the cheese that I really miss. Once I hit my goals, I'm going to incorporate slowly adding in "banned" foods ever few weeks and weigh myself daily to try to see what it is that really packs on the pounds and revs up my appetite.
