It's just weighing on me - it adds to my stress and I mildly resent DH for it even though I am really trying not to be like that. It fills me with dread to see her! I see other posters on the thread talking about me not alienating her, but what about her alienating me? Isn't this a two-way street where we're both adults and our preferences should be respected? If the answer is that MILs should just be placated, that's fine - that's why I asked :)[/quote]
