Homemade paneer with milk and lemon juice is FAR superior to that made with milk and vinegar. [/quote] I'm indian and a life long paneer eater....I have used twin oaks extra firm tofu to replace paneer and the texture is amazingly close. It definitely needs to be salted and spiced but my indian husband was floored to find out it was tofu and not paneer![/quote]
