They kept her in a room in back for over an hour, gave her some meds and sent her back into the public waiting room to sit for another half hour while she got increasingly groggy before doing the actual procedure.  So yes, I had plenty of time sitting alone with my phone. I previously spent hours on the phone with her insurance company, drove a total of 4 hours and arranged for 10 hours of child care in order to support her through this so I the insinuation that I haven't been supportive is a little hurtful.  But whatever, this isn't about me.

Anyway, I held her hand during the procedure and she did great.  She actually seemed much more upset before the procedure than she did afterwards.  I am sure some of that is due to the meds, but I think she is relieved at having gotten through it, too.  Thanks to everyone for your support.  Hands-on with logistics and just listening to whatever she wanted/needed to say was definitely the way to go.[/quote]
