GBRS is used by some teachers to be against kids whose parents DO NOT VOLUNTEER or who does not click with their teacher or who are quiet in classroom. Don't swear it. If you believe in your kid, take her/him to a WISC test.
I have heard this claim, but have not seen any evidence. If this is true, cite sources, or file a complaint. I would not be surprised if GBRS is better with parents that volunteer more, only because they tend to be more involved in the children's life.
I can't believe someone hasn't called you out on this post yet! Please tell me you're kidding, right? You can't be that ignorant. For one point of reference, my DD got a 16 GBRS this year and I haven't been in her classroom once to volunteer. That may be because during the hours of 9-4 I'm working at a success and fulfilling career. One that my DD thinks is "super cool' and maybe wants to do also. You're kidding yourself if you think most SAHMs, in this area, who routinely volunteer in the classroom are more "involved" in their child's life to the point that they would fairly recieve a higher GBRS. They volunteer to buddy up to the teacher to try and score a higher GBRS.
