This is me, too. I didn't notice it as much when I was younger, but definitely once I hit my 20's and especially 30's. It was a slow realization, but confirmed after being off for only a couple months. Being pregnant made me want sex all the time, breastfeeding killed it again, and now am finally getting it back over a year post-partum (still bf-ing but not as frequently). Exhaustion and room sharing and not yet STTN make it harder, but I do want the intimacy.[/quote]

That's such a shitty perspective. I'm a man, but I work in this field. So many men are happy to make this the woman's problem, and then can't understand the huge effect it has on women's mood and energy.  The rub is that most couples in committed relationships "prefer" to avoid condoms and/or vasectomy, so hormonal contraception falls squarely on her back. IUD are good, but not without side-effects. And here's another problem: how many women out there would entrust contraception to a male pill? How many men choose this? Probably not that many.[/quote]
