I mean it's the second (or first!) language in many US cities. But Chinese? This seems a totally different proposition! Much respect to those parents.

This perspective about wanting immersion for it's own sake b/c it helps the brain work better..... And not caring about what language is learned, I've also only heard on DCUM.  Never ever in real life.  I suspect it's from the same poster (also on the Sela thread).[/quote]
