[/quote] I should add, I got a scholarship of $18k a year for 4 years that made the difference between me attending that school or going to a state school that was academically good but too big / not a good social fit. I contribute back to the fund for the scholarship I received. DH who gives $0 had parents who paid full tuition for his degrees and went to schools with much wealthier donors / larger endowments than mine. [/quote]
