I'm sure this is a direct reaction to my middle school experience.  People tend to assume I was a sorority girl in college, which is funny to me because it couldn't be further from the truth.  We aren't wealthy by any stretch but I have a pretty responsible Federal position and feel generally good about my career path.  I would probably be more successful if I was a better self-promoter but it's just not something I'm comfortable doing and I suck at it. [/quote]
