I was really thinking more about what would be the right way for my kid to learn than about test scores, and I read somewhere that the low numbers had something to do with the relatively new upper school. It's a short drive for us, the facilities and grounds are gorgeous, I have faith that the upper school will pull up and I love the idea that we can get in somewhere and be done with the lottery for good--or at least a few years. Diversity in the student population was also a big factor in our household and it's hard to find in schools that are convenient to us.
