DH and I so value our humanities majors because studying what is good and beautiful enriches your life and makes you a more complete and interesting person.  I know people he meets professionally are fascinated by DH's wide-ranging interests, and my somewhat unusual major made me more interesting to employers and probably helped me get into law school, along with the awards and fellowship I received in college because I was studying something I truly loved.  Had I studied what I thought would most likely get me a job, I'm sure I would not have distinguished myself.[/quote]
