Kilmer is an awesome school, I'll be very sad if my kids have to switch to Cooper just to relieve overcrowding instead of REDISTRICTING, which is what's needed. Don't use AAP kids to fix population problems. There is NO money in FCPS budget plan to renovate Cooper, so there are not enough resources for AAP there anyway.
Just wanted to point that out (bolded), for all those who insist AAP doesn't "cost any extra money" and that AAP kids aren't getting resources that General Ed kids are not. I'm not sure why FCPS feels it's ok to set aside funds for this one group at the expense of the General Ed population. As for Cooper, it too is an awesome school, regardless of surface renovations. Hope it stays that way.
