I didn't even know how to balance a checkbook when I left home. While it is important to look out for your best interests, I do hope you're not teaching your children to look down upon people with poor credit. It has nothing to do with the quality of their character. As a young person, I had bad credit. I made poor decisions in college and had not been taught about managing finances as a kid. As a result, I have had to spend the last 10 years digging myself out of the mess I made. [/quote]
