When are you going? The first time we went as a family, our dd was 18m and we booked 7 days, to return on the 8th. We stayed on property, had park hooper and also booked the water parks. It was end of July so it was very hot. Because we had a little one, we skipped tons of rides that we didn't want to do either - like roller coasters or anything crazy. I remember wanting to stay at least more 2 days to enjoy the pools and water park more. We took it very slow and it was great. Second time, child was almost 3 and we booked 10 days to stay. We did park hooper but didn't do the pools because it was winter (xmas). I remember thinking I was ready to come back by day 8. It was crazy crowded but we did fine - we took it slow, lots of fast passes, lots of visits to princesses and the like. We didn't do any crazy rides because we aren to into that. We stayed on property again and we had a car this time around, which we used to go to UNIVERSAL one day to visit Harry Porter. It was one of the worst decisions we ever made - 600.00 for a day of hell. HP was actually closed for a good while due to overcrowding so all that money just to use crappy Dr. Seuss rides… they are not really crappy, but they are not certainly worth $600.00. later we managed to get into HP and at least I had opportunity to take some pics and have some "beer." I will never again set my foot there, at least for the next 10 years or so after my children are into HP themselves. SpiderMan was cool too… Anyway, since we could not use the pools, we had too much time in our hands and things got repetitive… We are going back again soon (child s 4) and this time we will stay 10 days. We will stay on property and I have booked the water parks as well - If it is too cold to use them, I am screwed. I always book park hooper because it does not add that much - like $80.00 for the whole trip or something. I usually use it only once or twice since I think it is too much hassle to go form one park to another with young children. But towards the end of the trip is nice actually.
