No. He struggled with the things he did. That's why he was always attempting to rationalize everything in black and white terms. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but tried to explain it away ("well, if I hadn't killed Chris, he would've killed his wife or daughter, or sent me to prison and destroyed my family")[/quote]

I thought the end of the show made it pretty clear that all of the talk therapy had just helped Tony become a better criminal, and that he couldn't actually be helped mentally because he was a sociopath. There's a dinner party scene with Melfi, Peter Bogdanovich, and some other psychiatrists. A lot of that show is obviously open to interpretation, however. By the end, Dr. Melfi seemed more like his consigliere then his therapist.[/quote]
