It's really complicated to explain because the nuances of booking are lost in translation.  It is a concept so foreign to American soil that the knee-jerk reaction to the one-line explanation of booking is, "That is so weird!  Why do Asian women stand for that?"  Hell, you're just listening to some drunk guy talk for 10 minutes in exchange for a free cocktail.  No groping.  It's not so bad.  He might just be super cute and the two of you hit it off.

Booking happens in the U.S., in the Asian clubs.

But guys of all races inherently love the idea of booking.  Imagine!  The horror of horrors, some hot chick shoots you down at a bar when you go up and ask if you can buy her a drink, and you slink back to your buddies while you hear her friends laughing at you, doesn't ever happen in booking.  Nick Cage went to a booking club, that's where he met his wife.  She was a waitress.
