Agreed.

I think OP is kind of a tool.  His wife wasn't unreasonable.  She returned an item and then saw that they refunded her significantly less than what the item was being sold for, so she thought maybe she was cheated.  OP didn't have to be involved.  It's not his place to arbitrate disagreements his wife has with people.  In fact, he sounds controlling.

I would be irritated if my husband got involved in that scenario.  It didn't involve OP.

OP sounds superficial and controlling.  Does it really matter to him what a manager at Macy's thinks of him because his wife had a difference of opinion on their return policy?
