The retail is pretty much all shopping centers/strip malls, and could be better. There is a very small historic area with a few cute buildings but no nice shopping, nice strolling, etc. DH and I both work about 10 mins away from home, by car. The schools are great. We have almost an acre with a pool and a hot tub and our house is almost paid off. Our gym is like a little resort. OTOH, it is a PITA to get into DC or anywhere in MD for outings and there isn't really a "town" feeling. Unless you are $$$$$, any area around here has some big negatives. Most people seem to weigh schools/commute/price the most.[/quote]
