In this case, she may have reacted emotionally, but I think she was also sending a message to the Poe community that she has their back and that, from all outward signs, this was a good principal. People in the Annandale/Poe pyramid may want to hear that, because otherwise this is a pyramid that FCPS has screwed over repeatedly in recently years by moving higher-income neighborhoods to other schools, including Frost/Woodson and Lake Braddock.
