No, it's not. This is a pretty liberal area. Homeschooling is the domain of religious nut jobs, although a few "crunch mamas" have tried to jump on the bandwagon in recent years.

Wake up and smell the coffee. If you research it a little you find that liberals revived homeschooling in the 1960s and 1970s. The fundies tried to co-opt it. Now, there are growing numbers of homeschoolers from all walks of life. Just sample some of the posts at the Well Trained Mind and you will see that there are many liberals and moderates who homeschool for non-religious reasons. We homeschooled for academic and special needs and we are card carrying Democrats. Liberals have always expressed inclusive ideals so why are you acting like a conservative who wants everyone to be the same??
