A nurse not being on the ball can affect the success of your cycle, so while I can do without the hand-holding, I expect her to get me instructions timely such that we're not compromising the cycle (we had to skip the scrapings last time because she got me the schedule the day before I started meds, I had a poor lining and cancelled transfer, this time they're insisting on the scrapings as if they're the holy grail - I was the one who wanted them last time). I also expect her to schedule my FET the day she knows my period, not a week later, when she knows the calendar is already filling up. And here's where compassion plus my paying money comes in--waiting is TORTURE, she knows I've been through a traumatic DE miscarriage, a cancelled transfer (which may have gone better if she'd been on the ball), waiting an extra month for the transfer is a BIG DEAL. Getting a negative beta at Christmas is a big deal when originally I was told I'd be transferring mid-November. All she had to do was reserve a date. She jumped on it quick enough after I called the practice manager, she could have just gotten on it the first day I asked and we wouldn't have had to fight about it. I've never heard of people being treated like numbers at DMV at the better clinics. Yes they're more expensive (which is why I'm not there) but we're not paying SG chump change. Anyway, I take great satisfaction from knowing that if this cycle doesn't succeed, though I'll be very sad, at least SG will lose money on me when I get my refund and move on.
