Bullis headmaster appears to have the full support of the board to make a BULLIS a football powerhouse. GET USED TO IT .Cilento is a fantastic coach and is elevating Bullis football program to new heights.
He is a good coach tactically and as a recruiter, but as a Bullis fan I was embarrassed by how he acted when the opposing player was down from a blow to the head. I was terrified the injured player might be paralyzed, and was shocked to see and hear how Coach C. behaved to the officials as the injured boy was being treated. And yes, the score was something like 35-0 at the time, so one couldn't even make the argument that Coach C. Lost perspective with a game on the line. I very much hope The Head of School, Dr. B., has a talk with the coach. I'm ambivalent about this intense focus on a few sports, but concede that it's for Dr. B. and the Board to set the course for the school. However, you can have the success and excitement without the poor sportsmanship that was shown by the coach and announcer. And I don't think a Jay-Z song with that pacific language is appropriate for a school event at which many younger kids were present. I don't know how to get my voice heard at the school on these things, though -- the overall message is to relax and enjoy the ride and that if you critique anything you are not welcome.
