I think a lot of the reason why people think a Roth may be preferable even if you [i]think[/i] you may be in a lower tax bracket when you retire is due to an expectation that taxes may have nowhere to go but up- meaning that even if your income is lower, you will still be in a higher tax bracket when you retire than you are now. Do I have that right, people that are way more knowledgeable than me.[/quote]
