What brushes do you recommend to blend, and should the line be thin at the inner corner and taper to thick on the outside? Should you follow your lid, even if it droops? How about under the eye? Liner or no? I could ask more.
blending brushes are more roundish for the whole lid and the crease. not the angular ones. The angular ones are more for the liner. And no, do NOT follow your lid if it droops. You want to go up, don't fill in the gap with the same color (unless you are doing a smokey eye for evening, but that is tricky). Blend so it is not so thin but not too smudgy. Yes, it takes practice. use scotch tape to find the line that best fits your face. it is okay to line the bottom lid but use a light color. Using a light brown/mauve color. Or even applying an eyeshadow that can also be applied wet. Generally I stay away from black under the eye even when I am doing the smokey eye. I will use a eggplant color as my darkest color. Gel liner is the best but don't skimp, the gel drugstore ones don't work as well as the bobbi brown ones etc. Also, the trick for being a make-up artist is using lots of different colors together. You have to experiment and find what works best for you. Start with a base color mix different shades together. That is why they sell those huge pallet things.
