That is how safe US dollars are - people are willing to accept negative interest. You invest in other currencies and assets to make money, not safely maintain your wealth. The money you make is the premium you earn for accepting risk. Your husband's being an economist doesn't mean YOU have any idea what you're talking about.[/quote]
