I was very impressed with how a couple of day care teachers helped manage his behavior and learned a lot from them. A lot was preventing situations where he'd act up. If he didn't want to sit still at circle time, for example, they'd let him play quietly in another part of the room. If he wouldn't nap, they didn't force him to lie down. They let him color or look at books. He wasn't perfect of course, hence the time outs. But they showed me a lot of good tips for setting a child up for success.[/quote]
