Look, I'm a Fed myself and would like nothing better but let's be realistic.  Anyone who thinks Feds are going to get paid for *not working* in this political climate is delusional. We have been furloughed.  Our pay has been frozen.  Congress doesn't even want to pay us when we do work. The bottom line is this is nothing like 1995 and I have co-workers who aren't even planning because they were around back then and think it will be the same.  People need to wake up and face reality or they could be in big financial trouble.  Please don't encourage others to believe in this fairy tale.
