Okay, I know this is an ignorant question. Is there really that much more benefit to using a credit card vs your debit card? My husband and I have considered putting all or most of our expenses on a credit card. Are there just marginal benefits or do you really notice a difference such as cash back, airline miles, etc?
If you know how to play the game, yes. Even with a basic 2% card if you spend $100,000 a year that's 2,000 in your pocket. If you do the miles game you can do even better. SPG, united etc - spend like that can add up to 2 or 3 round trip tickets to Europe per year, and if you really pay attention it's conceivable to get enough miles for 4 to 5 business class tickets to Europe or South America per year.
