I have watched my parents lose a lot of opportunities and waste a lot of money because the idea of working to understand investing struck them as too hard or vulgar or greedy or something. Don't ask me, I don't get it either. You worked very hard to save that much, it won't be much more effort to be careful/savvy with what you do with it.[/quote]
