I'm not spending time bathing my kids these days. In 24 years of parenting we've had a total of one major illness- tonsillectomy. I'm pretty sure pool water didn't cause it. They very, very rarely even caught minor illnesses. And they spent every summer working on my grandparents (both sets) working farms. They ran barefooted most of the summer. Ate fruits and veggies right out of the ground. And probably never washed their hands. They have a healthy immune system exactly because like most normal parents, we let them get dirty. When you and your brilliant husband have that kind of track record, maybe your opinion will mean something. Until ten, your just the typical D.C. germaphobe who probably has the sickest kids on the block.[/quote]
