OP here.  Um, if I could stay home, I wouldn't be despairing over finding a day care.  I can't stay home.

And no, I don't expect a provider to interact with him every minute.  Even I shower and use the bathroom.  But I don't want him stuck in a bouncy seat all day or a car seat 2 out of 8 hours a day.  That's no demanding every minute be 1-1 interaction, and I think it's reasonable.[/quote][/quote]
