Although we are in the technology sector, I would never hire a person who did not plan to relocate here -- at least initially -- for the position. I believe in investing in the community, and as far as I am concerned too many federal dollars already go to, and stay in, Washington, DC, and the greater metropolitan area, its businesses and residents. Our company succeeds when our employees/partners are willing to devote their time to our business, are ready to spend time with her or his colleagues, and are happy to invest in our community. After you have proven yourself as an employee for several years, I would be willing to work out a telecommuting arrangement. [/quote]
