And your kids churlishly "thanking" grandma makes them bratty regardless of whether they donate money at other times. You have to be polite and gracious even at times you don't choose. If they really dont like ice cream, you say "sorry, don't feel like it today". You know your mom. Why are you setting both her and your kids up to fail? [/quote]
