Thanks, PP, great info! I probably would've self-managed if I'd had more time to get my affairs in order. I just had an open house this weekend and have a few potential tenants who are/have applied and that was on my own. It was sort of impromptu, as I received several responses from the Zillow, CL, and AHRN ads this weekend. I have alerted the condo board and they have been surprisingly helpful. To the person who asked, I used Karissa Leake (202-450-5333) of Gibraltar Housing.
Update from OP. Dont use this property manager. Since I've left, there has been zero communication. When I left, I had a couple who applied and were anxious for the place. They applied the day before I left. They told me that nobody ever calls them back so they assumed the place was already rented. I can believe that because I'm getting the same. Mind you, I'm the one who showed them (and numerous others) the property. I receive way too much interest from the ads I posted for my place to not be rented by now. Moral of the story is, I will self manage after this year.
