I just bought a $450 pair of boots that are casual, you can't dress them up but you can wear them until the end of time during the day, and my handbag that I carry mostly right now is from target...............OP might find that ridiculous. Takes all kinds. OP- I'm loving the Philip Lim bags that are around $1000 on there, especially the cobalt blue one but I guess that's not necessarily conservative if that's what you need. One thing I am not getting though is the $1500 and up for the Stella McCartney bags- I thought those were all faux leather.
