If you like Romans, check JCPenney. I bought one for my sons room that had hideous beads on it (but the roman shade was a lovely khaki), took the trim they had off, put on some new trim from Calilco and for around $35, had a gorgeous, works better than anything I could make roman. I sew a lot and just bought fabric today but spent several hundred dollars for two windows. This was with fabric on the clearance rack, 50% off the clearance price and an extra 10% off. It's that expensive and you need a ton of yardage to have the pattern match. Here is a JCP option- not the one I bought though. http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/window/shop-categories/blinds-shades-/savannah-iii-roman-shade-/prod.jump?ppId=1a09b6b&catId=cat100260228&deptId=dept20022800026&dimCombo=null&dimComboVal=null There is a fabric store that makes romans, they are $20/square foot plus $79 for the kit. Target had this great bubble roman in their shabby chic collection for $25 that is basically a square piece of fabric with small rings. You then put one ring on however many bunches you want and tuck in the sides- it doesn't move but looks great.
