Thank you guys. I'm a little relieved now that I know this happens to other people. I cannot even begin to tell how you how panicked I was yesterday. He seems to be his old self, however I spent the night constantly awake starting at him and making sure he was okay. I even error him up a few times just to be sure. I know this sounds weird, but I really love this dog as if he were my child. I also gave him extra treats.
Do you have a child? Because I don't think anyone who had a child would ever say they loved a pet as much as a human child. I think your thread title was an exaggeration and probably panicked a few parents on this forum before they realized it was a grown dog having a seizure, not a baby.
It's in the "pets" forum, so it seems it was clear that she was talking about a pet. She's entitled to love her pet like a child. And who are you to tell her if she does or not? I know people who take better care of their pets than many parents I've seen care for their children. I get so irritated when people get so offended and worked up if a dog owner says she loves her dog like a child. It's like parents get all self-righteous and offended.
