If he is looking a jobs below his qualifications just to get out of where he is now, it may help. I wanted an easier job after I had my son - when I sent out my "full" resume, no bites. I dumbed it down some (didn't list some accomplishments, oversight responsibilities) and I have several interviews lined up within 4 months, and eventually, a new job.[/quote]
