I think less than 3 miles is a walk, more than 5 is a hike. 3-5 is the gray zone, and it depends what you are wearing, your frame of mind etc. If it is raining, you are wearing patagonia stuff, and full of grim determination, 4 miles could be a hike.[/quote]
